Survivor 1billion: Tekong

There on the island, it is about survival. Survival can be classified into individual survival, or group survival. However, they might not exist together. The presence of one could thus lead to the demise of the other. In individual survival, the most important thing is instinct. Instinct is something hard to explain. You either have it or you don't. A case study might be taken from the island.

For example, we are not supposed to carry an item outside of the stipulated area because doing so is actually a very serious offense which might lead to severe punishment of the individual who actually does do so. So this guy, whom I shall call "Emperor", spots one of the item on the ground when another guys stands up. Immediately, his hand shoots up, and his mouth blares out an alarm signal to tell the whole world that the item is there, and that he saw it when the other guy stood up. This is the individual survival instinct of Emperor. By indicating he saw the item beside the other guy, he is trying to absolve himself from blame, thus surviving. Most people actually try to survive by pushing fault to others. While the attention is on the other person, he slinks off into the night(usually). Most people usually try this method and when more than 1 person does it at the same time, it is more commonly known as "The Blame Game".

In this case however, Emperor only managed to alert superiors on this matter, and get the whole group landed in hot water. Group survival has therefore become rather impossible. As does individual survival in this case. As the whole group is susceptible to punishment for an individuals mistake, an action leading to individual survival drags the whole group down. In simpler terms, attempts at framing others to escape punishment for self would somehow or other lead to ones self-demise.

Another means of survival is through cunning and playing dirty, which I believe a superior of mine is a master exponent at. Through the exploitation of power and the tendency to let others do his dirty work, making himself the "good guy/whatever", this self-proclaimed male, has basically fucked many people up, while still protecting himself. Deft(but undoubtedly stupid to me) use of language usually manipulates people into doing something he wants. Something our sub group is not very good at however, is being controlled, despite already being under the ultimate control. As such, the way to get back at him is to play dirty, with methods of which I have yet to discover, since playing dirty is not in my blood.

Personally, I also find complaints to a fellow colleague to a superior behind his back particularly abhorrent. This shows a lack of male reproductive organ sacs, as well as a certain degree of the 2 aforementioned methods of survival. As I shall prove now, taking long afternoon naps is also a key factor in ensuring ones survival. I do not know why but it just is.
