a sense of timelessness.

Seconds, then minutes went by. The sky gradually took off its grey overalls, revealing a warm, soft blue underneath. This metamorphosis was a spectacle to behold, yet nobody had noticed this simple yet natural beauty.

Under natures work of art, somewhere in the bustling city, stood a bus stop. It was simple and nondescript, something one would not notice unless they had to wait for a bus. It was of course, natural for someone not to notice a bus stop unless they had to take a bus, or if it was raining heavily and they did not have an umbrella, in which case the bus stop would provide a temporary respite from the rain. But it did not rain that day.

Under natures work of art, somewhere in the bustling city, under the simple and nondescript bus stop, stood(loosely used) Jansen. He had been impatiently pacing about, looking at his watch every few "normal" seconds. In "Jansen time", an eternity had already passed. Jansen was "on location" when the sky decided to hold its very own strip show. But he(like many other people), did not notice it. All he noticed was that he had somewhere to go and he was going to be late. He also noticed that the bus stop must not have been doing its job because for a good 20 minutes, there had been no bus arriving at the bus stop.

Just as he thought that, a bus arrived, as if just to prove him wrong. But it was not the one he needed to take and thus Jansen's joy in an instance had turned to disappointment. He took another look at his watch, then up at the sky. He then realised that the strip show was already over and the dark grey overalls were already at the skies ankles. He stood up. He was sick and tired of waiting for something that never arrived. He looked out for an empty taxi and before long, his bus arrived.

Jansen boarded the bus, looked at his watch again. He was going to be late. He took a deep breath, then a seat and proceeded to reflect upon the cruel irony between his thoughts, actions and reality.
