blunt arrowheads.

There goes a saying, "If you have nothing good to say, don't say anything." It is one of the most underappreciated sayings, because people just let it pass, without ever paying attention to what it's screaming out. It's so blatant, people totally miss the point. Sometimes though, they don't just miss it. They go a full 180 degrees from it.

Some find joy in a little meaningless discussion/argument with someone else. After all, it's a good time to bring out a little wit and a little humour into the open, taking little jabs at your oppenent. This "verbal boxing" however, like real boxing, needs a little aptitude to go along with it. Subtlety is required to sharpen your mind. Some people obviously lack it. Some people don't realise they lack it and try to start a round of verbal sparring with an obviously disinterested party, just playing along with him because there was not much of a choice. There's not alot of places to go when you're on the same MRT. By now, you might have realised that disinterested party is me. Listening to Mr Blatant trying to antagonise someone, is akin to being repeatedly stabbed by a blunt knife, or being shot at by a squad of archers with blunt arrowheads. It's really painful. Not his words, but his effort.

Some others prefer the discussion to be one-sided. So instead of verbal sparring, it becomes verbal diarrhoea. Visualise the solid+liquid mixture, smelly, steamy, in word form, spraying its way out of a bodily orifice, more commonly known as the mouth. Now you do not like steamy, smelly, liquid-y shit so I don't suppose it's any more enjoyable in word form.

Now, I have to admit that sometimes I am guilty of antagonising others. However, I do it all in fun and only with more familiar people, afterwhich I do apologise to the guy earnestly(sometimes) and apologise while explaining it was all in fun. It's also done(I believe) in much more entertaining and funny methods. Sometimes, it has everything to do with the sharpness and direction of the arrows. Some people should just give up archery.
