how to tell your parents you are going overseas.

i am sure all of my friends who are at this funny age of 17-18 want to travel overseas with your friends, just to see how it feels like. but some parents would never hear of it. here is one way to break the news of your trip to them.

do this with a nonchalent tone.

son: Mum. I'm going out. [with luggage]

mum: Oh where to?

son: Eat dim sum with my friend.

mum: Eat where? Why are you carrying your luggage.

son: Oh. Hong Kong. Will be back in a week.

there. you have done your part by being responsible and telling your parents. but they are too stunned to stop you. there you go. the ultimate solution to your parents consent for a holiday with friends.
